Managing hemophilia is hard. It requires you to keep track of information about your bleeds, your treatments, and your life. HemaGo™ is an amazing resource that can help you accurately and consistently record all of your information, all in one place. And having that information easily updatable and accessible is key to getting the best care for you or your loved one. So to help you make the most of your experience with HemaGo™, we’ve compiled a list of answers to common questions you may have.

Q) What is HemaGo™?

HemaGo™ is an advanced hemophilia resource that can help you keep an accurate digital record of your life with hemophilia. Created with the support of the hemophilia community, HemaGo™ makes it easier for you to track essential details about bleeds, treatment, and life events to help you better manage hemophilia for you or a loved one and keep your hemophilia care team well informed.

Q) How can HemaGo™ help with my hemophilia care?

Health history plays an important role in the treatment decisions your hemophilia care team makes for you or your loved one. By maintaining accurate records of bleeds, treatment, and life events with HemaGo™, you and your hemophilia care team can better determine how well your or your children’s hemophilia is managed. This knowledge can lead to better care and, ultimately, better outcomes.

Q) What is the HemaGo™ Privacy Policy, and how will my privacy be protected?

Your privacy is important to us, and we will take appropriate measures to protect your information. Click here to view the HemaGo™ full Privacy Policy.

Q) How do I sign up for HemaGo™?

Joining is simple. All you have to do is provide some general information about yourself, and you will have access to all the tools and resources HemaGo™ has to offer. It will only take a few minutes of your time. Then, you can start using HemaGo™ by creating a Caregiver or Patient Profile. Be sure to select Caregiver if you plan on managing multiple Patient Profiles.

Q) Is there a HemaGo™ app available for all mobile devices?

At this time, HemaGo™ is available free for download on iPhone®, iPad®, iPod touch®, and Android™ devices.

Q) What if I want to record a bleed event that occurs in a location other than a muscle or a joint?

When you want to record a bleed that occurs in a location other than a muscle or a joint, simply select Other from the list of choices in the Treat Bleed section. You will then be able to select from the following choices: head, dental, oral/mucosa, blood in urine, surgery/procedure, and other.

Q) Can I print out or e-mail multiple reports at one time to share with my hemophilia care team?

HemaGo™ offers a comprehensive reporting system that allows you to view and share any of the information you record with your hemophilia care team. Because you can create a variety of customized reports that best tell your or your loved one’s health history, you can only print one at time.

With HemaGo™, you can create and print out or e-mail as many reports as you want to help you have more productive talks with your hemophilia care team and get the care that best meets your needs or the needs of your loved one.

Q) If I create a Patient Profile, can I add additional profiles to manage?

Create a Patient Profile only if you will be the sole patient using HemaGo™. If you plan on managing multiple Patient Profiles, be sure to create a Caregiver Profile. As a caregiver, you can record and review essential details about bleeds, treatment, and life events for multiple patients.

Q) Can I set a prophylaxis reminder online?

Currently, the online version of HemaGo™ does not allow for prophylaxis reminders. If you’d like prophylaxis reminders, you can set 1 reminder per patient using the mobile app version of HemaGo™.

Q) Can multiple caregivers be listed on my account?

The current version of HemaGo™ only allows for 1 caregiver to be listed per account.

Q) Why is it important to enter "My Medications" into my profile?

HemaGo™ allows you to enter and store your medication information to help you simplify the way you record your infusions, making each entry faster.

Q) If my mobile device gets lost or I get a new one, how can I get the app replaced with my current information still intact?

The HemaGo™ app syncs to an online database every time you are online. If you log in to the app from your new mobile device, you will have access to all your saved data once you go online.

Q) If my computer or mobile device crashes, how can I get my information replaced?

This is an online program, which means your entries are not being saved locally to your computer or mobile device. Every time you save an entry, your information is saved to an online database. So a computer or mobile device crash will not affect the information that you have entered on the website.
